Training Venue

All Juveniles are now back to training at Kickham park on Saturday mornings at 10.30am. Any new players are welcome to come along on the day

Also, player registration is now due and all players are asked to return their completed registration form as soon as possible or they will not be allowed to participate in upcoming games.

Juvenile Club Official Opening and Blessing 16 May 2007

The official opening and blessing of Thurles K.R.F (now Thurles Gaels) Juvenile G.A.A club was held at Kickham park Thurles on Wednesday 16th of May 2007. This was a very momentous occasion and a huge step forward for the future of our club. The official opening was performed by the former Chairman of both Munster Council and Tipperary County Board, Mr.Sean Fogarty. In a most heart-warming and informative address Sean touched on many issues. In part of his address Sean remarked that a noted decline in the fortunes of the two clubs Kickhams-Rahealty and Thurles Fennellys, in more recent times, signalled that the next logical step to arrest the decline, was the formation of a juvenile club, coupled with the fact that the ever expanding population of Thurles in itself presented the need of a second juvenile club. Mentioning that he is running as a candidate to be the next President of the G.A.A., he would like to come back in a few years, as President, and present medals to a winning Thurles K.R.F. juvenile team. Again, Sean called on parents to become actively involved and not to leave it to the laboured few, many are needed to run a successful club.

Fr. Gerard Hennessy, Club Patron, proceeded with the Official Blessing, in a reflective ceremony of prayer and thanksgiving.
